Hi Cloud Catcher,
I'm so sorry, I have no good excuse I'm just hopeless at e-mails etc. Well Leea has been a part of our life for 5 months now and she has fitted in beautifully. She is the perfect dog for us. My husband may say he disagrees because of all the retic he has had to redo, but I find them both cuddling on the couch watching TV most nights.
The kids love her to death and play with her all the time. They even curl up and have afternoon naps together some really busy days it's really cute to see. The couple across the road love her and we have play dates with their dog Missy a golden-retriever. They have great fun. Lately it has not been under 40C here in town so we don't go for walks. I just throw the ball in the pool while I clean all the leaves from the Jacaranda and gum trees next door that drop into it every day twice a day (takes for ever!). She is such a good swimmer, she has even worked out how to get over the creepy hose. We have races up and down the pool together and then sometimes she sits in the blow up seat with her paws neatly crossed.
But why is it that all dogs go mental after they have had a good soak? Every time we've got her out of the pool and then hosed her down she runs around the yard like a mad dog and getting muddy. A few months ago we enjoyed weekly training with a puppy training who just moved into town. Leea finished the course 2nd and beat 2 border collies. She got her picture in the town newspaper, I was very proud of her.
She is doing really well and we are starting adult dog training after the summer. We can't wait and I'm sure she'll do even better then she did in her last lessons.
Thank you for are lovely new member of the family.

Hi Cloud Catcher,
Well it was a little over a week ago that we picked up Chewbucca (Chewy for short) from the airport and what fun and enjoyment we’ve had with him. He is the most settled puppy I have ever seen. When we picked him up at the airport the flight didn’t seem to bother him at all, he was wagging his tail in excitement and ready for lots of love, attention and play. I would say he’s toilet trained (apart from a couple of slips when we don’t take him out in time) and was going outside as soon as he got home, it really was hardly any effort to train him. He loves to chew which is understandable being a puppy and all.
We bought him some toys and when ever he gets too excited we just give him them and he sits and chews them. Actually he loves to sit on your lap on the floor and chew his favourite toys. He’s going to the kid’s school this Friday to be their show and tell. The kids are so excited to be taking him in to show all their friends. I took him yesterday for the first time to the school to pick up the kids and he was so well behaved. He didn’t jump up on any kids and just licked them instead of chewing. And boy is he a show stopper, all the parents gathered and were asking what kind of dog is he and how beautiful he is.
Anyhow thank you again, he’s a fantastic puppy which we just adore.

So Cayenne turns 7 months today.
It has been another month of growing and bonding and we are so in love with him we can hardly see straight. Cayenne weighed in yesterday at 27.2 lbs...so 4 more pounds than last months b-day email! People are always commenting on how tall he is. I had someone guess that he was 50 lbs the other day but he is just all fur and legs. We still carry him up and down the steps for bedtime but he did come down the steps a few weeks ago all by himself and was very proud of himself.
Cayenne is a great swimmer now. He only jumps into the ocean when we go in with him to swim. But after that first time he used to kind of hesitate but couldn't stand that we were in the water and he was on the beach and so would come. Now he jumps in right away with us and swims back and forth or along side us. He likes to get a running start from the beach and then leap over the small surf and belly flop in. We are going to take our boat out this weekend and though we have meant to many times, finally get him on the boat for just a short spin to see how he does. He is really such a great puppy. In addition to his dog paddling and belly flopping skills, he also learned how to run through a 10 foot tunnel in about 5 minutes of putting it in the yard.
I was laughing so hard the first time he zoomed through the tunnel I sprung tears and he realized that I was really loving it so then really loved it and learned in record time to go through on the word 'tunnel'. I would have him sit and stay at one end while I walked around to the other and then I would look through the tunnel and yell tunnel and he would zoom right through to me. The clicker training makes it really easy to mark when he does things well too so I was using that.
Life feels complete when he is sleeping at our feet or coming up for his morning snuggle. He constantly makes us laugh. There are still many things to learn and do - it isn't all perfect b/c he is a puppy still and still wants to test his limits - but he is really doing great.
Love

Hi Cloud Catcher, Hope you and your family are well including all your beautiful labradoodles Thank you for the email you sent me on Chulas Birthday. Sorry I didn’t reply sooner. Here is a photo taken just before she turned 1 yr old. I’m very happy with her she is coming along just great she is such a good girl. She loves to run after a ball enjoys running in the park, although the weather here is very wet at the moment. Loves to come to Petanque gets lots of attention from everybody there. As from the very beginning Chula is my baby stills follows me everywhere I go, what else can I tell you about her she is great company I love her to bits, at around 8.00pm she goes to the laundry to sleep, during the night sometimes she comes into our bedroom to check on me licks my hand and goes back to her bed, I find that so cute.
I would always recommend a labradoodle from Cloud Catcher, it was the best decision I’ve ever made.
All the best to you and thank you again for sending me Chula
Kind Regards

Hi Cloud Catcher and Happy New Year
Firstly, hope the flood waters haven’t damaged you, the dogs or Cloud Catcher, tho’ it did look like you were in the middle of it. When you get a moment, we’d appreciate your thoughts on the likely weight Charlie will be when fully grown.
She’s almost 6 months old now and has grown from 8kgs at 2 months to 17.5 kgs now. Finally, as you can see from the attached pic, when the weather allows it, she insists the roof is down on the car so that her ears can flap properly.
Cheers Peter and Janet
